This vegan hot dogs… oh yes, they are amazing, I never though I could have such a delicious vegan hotdogs, made out from carrots, it may sound crazy but they are really delicious.

I love first of all the flavor, it tastes like hotdogs! and my second favorite thing about this hotdogs is that you can prepare them the night ahead, you just need to pour all the ingredients needed for the sauce, add the carrots and you are done.

No needed of blending, almost none cooking required, super easy to make. I tried to make this hotdogs like the classic ones but you are totally free to have them as you prefer.


4 large carrots, peeled and rounded corners, I cut mines as the size of the dog bun

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup water

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tbsp sesame oil

1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 clove garlic, minced

1/4 tsp dried ginger

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/8 tsp granulated onion powder

3 tbsp olive oil

4 whole wheat hot dog buns some ketchup and mustard

16 pickles

4 lettuce leaves

some oregano

2 tbsp dried onion


total time: 20 minutes

serving size: 4 serves


We are going to start by making our vegan sausages, in a medium size container or bowl pour: 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup water, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1 clove garlic, minced, 1/4 tsp dried ginger, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1/8 tsp granulated onion powder, mix it all well, then put the peeled carrots and leave it to sit overnight.

The next day, in a medium size pan add 3 tbsp of olive oil and fry the vegan sausages at high heat for about 10 minutes, whilst you are frying your vegan sausages warm up the dog buns in the oven.

Once you are done with that, halve your dog buns and add some lettuce, pickles, oregano, dried onion, one vegan sausage in each dog bun and some ketchup and mustard.
