I really enjoy these raisin, apple and pumpkin granola bars. They are really easy to make and really healthy to have them as breakfast or snack.
I like to take them at work to make sure that I don’t end the day snacking unhealthy foods.
These bars have a lot of flavor, really sweet and the raisins work really well.
I made 12 bars, each bar really fill you up.
a cup of raisins
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1 & 1/2 cups oats
2 tbsp dried apple
2 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp maple syrup
a pinch of cinnamon
a pinch of salt
a tsp vanilla extract
preparation time: 10 minutes
total time: 20 minutes
serving size: 12 bars
Start by preheating the oven to 180ºC.
Add all the ingredients into a large bowl, mix the ingredients with your hands and massage the mix.
It may sounds weird but it really makes a huge difference.
By massaging the mix, the oats really get all the flavors.
Cover an oven tray with baking paper and pour the mix, press and then cut into bars, so once the bars are cooked, is easy to separate the bars.
Cook until golden for around 10 minutes at 180ºC, and 10 minutes more at 200ºC.
