I really love Nutella, but it isn´t the healthiest food for you, as I really like it I just decided to make and share with you this vegan healthy Nutella recipe, anyone can make it at home and enjoy without the guilty feeling as it just have a few really healthy and natural ingredients.

Depending of your preferences you can add the olive oil or not, this is just in case you want the Nutella more or less liquid.


3 cups hazelnuts

100g dark chocolate 85%

3 tbsp maple syrup

a pinch of Himalayan salt

3 tbsp olive oil

preparation time: 30 minutes

total time: 30 minutes

serving size: 10 serves


In a baking tray pour the hazelnuts into the oven for 7 minutes at 200ªC until golden, this will help to make the hazelnut butter as the heat will help releasing the oils from the hazelnuts.

Once the hazelnuts are nice and golden, transfer them into a linen or cotton fabric, I like to rub each other to help to remove the skin.

In a food processor add the hazelnuts and blend until you get hazelnut butter, it will take for around 10 minutes, be patient.

Melt 100g of the dark chocolate and add it to the food processor once you have the hazelnut butter, add also 3 tablespoons of maple syrup and a pinch of Himalayan salt.

If you like your Nutella more liquid you can add 3 tablespoons of olive oil, I use olive oil because it won´t harden as coconut oil for example.
