I love this green detox soup during all year, it helps me when I feel that I need an extra help with my digestive system, it really helps to balance it.

The base is made with broccoli, it works with the enzymes in your liver to turn toxins into something your body can eliminate easily, is rich in potassium, vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium and iron. The avocado brings all the nourishing fats for your body making the soup silky and soft.

I think this soup wouldn’t be detoxifying without the lemon, it brings a fresh flavour to the soup, so good! the garlic and the ginger will help to boost your immune system as well as helping out the liver and it helps to bring a spicy flavour to the green soup.

In cold months I like to make this soup as in the recipe above is so heart warming, but in warmer months I like to use the same ingredients but instead, I like to blend all the raw ingredients. I found that when I have it raw the detoxifying benefits are higher, I do really feel them.


2 broccoli

1 avocado

3 clove of garlic

A bit of ginger

1 lemon

1 tablespoon of olive oil

4 cups of water

1 cup of watercress

1 teaspoon of cumin

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Serving Size: 4 serves


1 In a pan a medium heat put the olive oil, once warm place the chopped garlic clove, once golden add the chopped broccoli for 4 minutes.

2 Add the water and the ginger and the cumin to the mix, leave it at medium heat for 10 minutes.

3 Pour the chopped avocado and the juice of the lemon, then blend it together until soft and smooth.

4 I like to pour the soup in the plate and then put the chopped watercress on top, it looks lovely and it tastes delicious.
